bio

kitti, born in Paisley, just outside Glasgow, Scotland, is a musician and singer-songwriter who has been working in and around the Glasgow music scene from the age of 15.

kitti quickly made a name for herself in the local music scene, performing at small venues and clubs around the city. kitti’s voice evokes deep emotion and touches the heart of the listener. She has a voice that has the power to move people to tears, to uplift their spirits, and to transport them to another world, and with this she soon began to attract the attention of like-minded musicians, who would quickly become her core band.

previously known as “Katie Doyle Quintet” & “kitty” before finally deciding to stick with kitti with an “i”, she eventually settled into her own sound and writing style, taking massive influence from great artists like Chaka Khan & Rufus, Aretha Franklin and Betty Davis.

kitti gained 2 awards for her work in 2020 - that of “Best Female Breakthrough” at the Scottish Music Awards and “Best Jazz Vocalist” at the Scottish Jazz Awards, which she won once again in 2022. She has also supported the iconic Mavis Staples and Van Morrison in 2022 - and Rod Stewart at his Edinburgh Castle shows in 2023. kitti was also a part of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra’s “Nu-Age Sounds” series that toured Scotland in March ‘24 and again in January ‘25.

kitti’s live shows and recent recordings ooze complete authenticity and individuality. She promises an electric experience that engages all the senses and leaves you feeling exhilarated and inspired. kitti and her band pour every ounce of their hearts and souls into every note played, forcing audiences to feel the emotion behind the writing. “playing live is what I was born to do!” says kitti.

With her well received debut album now out in the ether, she’s already making waves in Scotland, and beyond.
